Motorcyclists have come up with a solution after the government banned the two-wheeler from plying the Padma Bridge.
Hundreds of motorcyclists were seen crossing the bridge with their motorcycles on pickup vans and trucks on Monday morning. Several photos and videos of the incident went viral on social media.
However, a pick up van driver claimed that later in the day, pick up vans carrying motorcycles were also not allowed to go through the bridge.
Earlier on Sunday, the Bridges Division banned motorcycles on the bridge until further notice from 6am on Monday.
The decision was taken following the pressure of motorcycles and two people being killed in a crash on the first day of the bridge’s opening.
