Two boys drowned while taking a bath in Kaptai Lake of Rangamati on Wednesday afternoon.
The deceased are Mahidur Rahman Muhith, 12, and Ahnaf Sakib Inam, 12.
According to local sources, Muhith and Inam drowned in Amina Pahar area of BGB Road, Tabalchhari.
Locals saw one of the bodies floating on the water and rescued both the children.
They took the children to Rangamati Sadar Hospital where an on-duty doctor declared them dead.
Trisha Chakma, in charge of the emergency department of the Sadar hospital, said that the bodies were brought to the hospital around 5:30pm.
