Police recovered the body of a madrasa teacher from a pond at Mahalipara village of Nawabganj in Dinajpur Tuesday night.
The deceased was Monirul Islam, 45, a teacher of Vailka Dakhil Madrasa.
Local people found the body of Monirul in the pond at night and informed police, said Bhushan Roy Brati, sub-inspector of Nawabganj police station.
On information, police recovered the body around 11.30pm, he added.
The body has been sent to Dinajpur M Abdur Rahim Medical College morgue for an autopsy.
