Another official of the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Safari Park in Gazipur has been transferred over the recent death of a number of animals at the park.
The wildlife supervisor Sarwar Hossain has been relieved from his duties at the park and transferred to Rajshahi, newly-appointed in-charge of the park Rafiqul Islam said on Thursday.
The authorities have also appointed seven new staff members at the park, he added.
Earlier, project director Jahidul Kabir, officer-in-charge of the park and assistant conservator of forests Md Tabibur Rahman and veterinary officer Dr Hatem Sazzad Md Zulkernine were removed from their posts.
The park currently employs 32 people in various positions on a permanent basis and 28 others on outsourcing, said Rafiqul.
Between January 2 to February 3, at least 11 zebras, a tiger, and a lion died in the park.
A committee is currently investigating the death of animals.
