Police have recovered 9.5 kg of gold from a passenger bus in the New Bridge area under Karnaphuli police station in Chittagong.
Four people, including two women, were arrested with the gold during the search at the New Bridge area adjacent to Shah Amanat Bridge in the city around 9:30am on Friday, said Karnaphuli police station Officer-in-Charge Dulal Mahmud.
The arrestees are Alak Dhar, 23, Narayan Dhar, 38, his wife Julie Dhar, 35, Paritosh Dhar, 38. They are residents of Bashkhali upazila's Sadhanpur area.
