Three people were killed in a road accident on the Dhaka-Mawa-Bhanga expressway in the Rajendrapur area of Keraniganj late on Saturday.
Police identified one of them as Hafiz. The names of the other two could not be known immediately.
They had been on their way to Dhaka from Shariatpur to sell cows, said Keraniganj police station Sub-Inspector Nazmus Shakib.
According to the police officer, a truck collided with three mini trucks carrying cattle, leaving two people dead on the spot. Another injured person died while undergoing treatment at Sir Salimullah Medical College Hospital in Dhaka.
The SI said no case had been filed yet in connection with the accident.
