Police have arrested a man for raping a second-grader in Dumki Upazila of Patuakhali.
The arrestee was identified as Abul Qasem, 52, who hails from Barisal. He has been living in his father-in-law's house in Muradia Union for a long time.
Confirming the matter, Dumki police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdus Salam said that the survivor was rescued and admitted to a hospital for treatment.

The child's father filed a case against him at Dumki police station around 1pm on Friday. Police picked him up from the area an hour later.
According to the case, Qasem went to the boy’s house at 11am on Thursday. He tempted him with Tk10 and raped him at a place beside the house.
He fled the scene as child screamed for help, said police and locals.
