Police have recovered the body of a farmer at Kalapara Upazila in Patuakhali.
The deceased was identified as Jamal Faraji, 55, from Dakshin Charpara village under Mithaganj Union.
Kalapara police recovered the body around 11 am on Friday.
Mithaganj Union Parishad Chairman Kazi Hemayet Uddin confirmed the matter.
Jamal Faraji went to his cow-shed around 8am to free the cattle and feed them. On the other hand, his wife went out to collect firewood.
Neighbours saw the farmer hanging from a tree around 9am and informed the police.
Kalapara police station Officer-in-Charge Md Jasim said that they were investigating the matter to unearth the mystery behind the death.
