Police are looking for a 45-year-old man who threw down a minor madrasa student violently while the children were playing football in Khulna on Tuesday.
Family members of the child and locals were infuriated after a video of the incident went viral.
Victim Mehran, 10, is a student of the Hafez Department of Markazul Muslimeen Madrasa.
Mehran was playing football with other children in front of the madrasa around 3pm when accused Moon Talukder was walking on the same road at that time.
He was enraged when the ball hit under his foot. Then he grabbed Mehran by the throat and threw him down violently, leaving the little boy injured and terrified.
The perpetrator then left the place. Details about his identity could not be known immediately.
