A man was killed in a clash allegedly over establishing supremacy between two groups at Charkewar union in Munshiganj Sadar Upazila on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Jewel Fakir, hails from Fakirkandi village of the union.
Additional Superintendent of Police Sumon Dev said a clash broke out between Montu group and Harun group over establishing supremacy and transportation of potatoes of the area, Jewel Fakir of Harun group was shot dead by his opponents in the potato field around 4:15am.
Police have arrested a man in this connection, identified as Nannu Hazi.
Additional police have been deployed in the area, the police official told BSS.
