A tourist was found dead in his room at a resort in Cox’s Bazar on Thursday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Md Foisal Hridoy, 21, confirmed Tourist Police Additional Superintendent Md Mohiuddin Ahmed.
Hridoy checked into Shikder Resort in the tourist zone on Wednesday morning, according to police.
Hotel authorities saw him at breakfast time on Thursday, but called the police when he did not come out of his room till afternoon.
Police discovered him hanging from the ceiling.
The body was sent to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital for an autopsy.
Meanwhile, police have recovered a human skeleton at a beach in Cox’s Bazar.
Police recovered the skeleton from Daria Nagar Point at around 11am on Thursday.
Local people said that some fishermen had located the skeleton. Later they informed the police about the matter.
