14-year-old student found dead in Chittagong madrasa

The victim’s hand was broken and there are several marks of injuries on the body, say police

Police have found the body of a 14-year-old student from behind a madrasa in Chittagong's Muradpur.

The deceased was identified as Md Arman, son of Ali Abbas. He was a student at Ali Bin Abi Talib Madrasa in Muradpur Duncan Hill Peelkhana area.

Arman's body was recovered around 10am on Tuesday, said Inspector Sadekur Rahman of Panchlaish Model police station. “Several wounds were visible on his body, including a broken hand,” he added.

Mokhlesur Rahman, deputy commissioner of Chittagong Metropolitan Police said Arman might have died after falling from the roof, reports UNB.

His body was taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital's morgue for autopsy.

Earlier on Saturday, the body of a seven-year-old student was recovered from Allama Shah Sufi Ashiyar Rahman Madrasa and Hefzkhana in Charandwip area of Chittagong’s Boalkhali upazila. 

A madrasa teacher, Abu Jafar, was held in connection with the recovery of the body.
