Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have detained two people with opium worth Tk2 crore in Bandarban.
Acting on a tip-off, RAB-7 and BGB arrested Kaing Pro Mro (23) and Dongwai Mro (24) from a market in Thanchi upazila, while they were selling the opium.
Around 1kg 800grams of opium were seized during the raid, which is worth over Tk2 crore in the market, said OC Sudip Roy of Thanchi police station. “The accused have not yet been handed over to us."
