At least ten people, including women and children, were burnt when a gas cylinder of a vehicle exploded at Fatullah in Narayanganj on Sunday.
The cylinder exploded in the afternoon from a cigarette fire as some workers were repairing the vehicle behind a tin-shed house in Beparipara area of Aliganj.
Abdullah Al Arefin, deputy assistant director of Narayanganj Fire Service and Civil Defense confirmed the matter.
Among the injured, six were admitted to Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.
They are Joj Mia, 50, Md Alam, 40, Asma, 40, Hasina, 38, Sathi, 20, and Hafsa, 6, said Bachchu Mia, inspector and in-charge of Dhaka Medical College Hospital police outpost.
