A motorcyclist was killed and two pillion passengers were severely injured when the motorbike collided with a modified vehicle ‘trolley’ in Dinajpur on Thursday.
The accident took place around 9pm at the Nawabganj-Kanchdaha road in Nawabganj upazila, said police.
The deceased was identified as Ibrahim Khalil, 27. Sajedur Rahman,35 and Arifur Rahman, 30 have been identified as the injured passengers.
Nawabganj Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ferdous Wahid said Ibrahim was speeding home from Nawabganj Bazar on a motorbike with two others as pillions.
“The vehicle veered out of control and collided with a parked trolley near Jamalpur Bazar,” he said
Locals rushed the three to Nawabganj Upazila Health Complex, where Ibrahim succumbed to his injuries.
