Chief justice: Global media hyping stray incidents of Bangladesh

Update : 07 Jul 2017, 07:52 PM
Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha has said the present government does not tolerate dogmatic behaviours in the name of religion. “Vested quarters are spoiling  peace and stability in the country through the use of religions. Even, they are employing students of various educational institutions in militant activities and spreading confusions among people by delivering provocative sermons at mosques in rural areas,” he said on Friday, when inaugurating the newly reconstructed Sri Sri Chandmoni Rakkha Kali Mandir (temple) at Kadiapatti in  Comilla, reports the Bangla Tribune. Referring to terror attacks, Sinha also said: “Global media are hyping stray incidents taking place in our country as we are a least developed nation. Purging the country of militancy will be possible if all officials at the administrative level can collaboratively work and increase surveillance on these institutions.” Among others, Deputy Commissioner in Comilla Md Jahaginr Alam and Superintendent of Police Md Shah Abid Hossain addressed the event chaired by Acting District and Sessions Judge Jeburunnesa.
