Member of Parliament (MP) from Munshiganj 2 constituency Sagufta Yasmin Emily has tested positive for the coronavirus (Covid-19).
Her son Taskin Shakib said Emily gave a swab sample at the National Parliament Secretariat Medical Center on Monday as part of a regular checkup.
Later, her report came back positive, he said, adding that she was admitted to United Hospital.
Shakib urged the people of the country to pray for his mother’s recovery.
