The accused are Shahana Begum, wife of former police constable Habibul, Shiuly, sister in-law of Habibul, and Sujon, brother in-law of Habibul.

According to Sub Inspector (SI) Shahidullah, case investigation officer, the seven year old boy was playing cricket in the street when a ball fell into Shiuly’s house. When the boy went to the house to collect the ball, Shahana, Shiuly, and Sujon, tied him up and tortured him.

Hearing the boy’s screams, neighbours rescued the boy and took him to Natore Sadar Hospital.
