Department of Social Services (DSS) on Monday has suspended four more officials from Jessore Juvenile Correctional Centre (JCC) reportedly for neglecting their duty that led to the deaths of three inmates.
The director-general of DSS has decided to suspend the four officials after police arrested them on Friday, confirmed Asit Kumar Saha, deputy director of DSS.
Previously on Saturday, a police investigation found five of the juvenile correctional officers including the four, responsible for torturing the three boys to death.

The five suspended correctional officials are: Abdullah Al Masud, the superintendent of the correction centre; Masum Billah, assistant superintendent; Mushfiqur Rahman, psychosocial counsellor; Shahanur Alom, physical instructor; and Omar Faruk, technical instructor.
Of them, Abdullah Al Masud, the superintendent of the correction centre was suspended on Friday.
Abdullah Al Masud, Masum Billah, and Shahanur Alom were placed on a five-day remand, while Mushfiqur Rahman and Omar Faruk were placed on a three-day remand.
On Thursday, the accused inflicted excruciating torture on a number of youths of the centre, leaving three of them dead and 15 injured. The deceased were identified as Parvez Hasan Rabbi, Rasel alias Sujon, and Nayeem Hossain.
