Six people died with Covid-19 symptoms at Covid-19 unit of Comilla Medical College Hospital in the last 24 hours on Wednesday.
The six deceased are Aminul Haque, 75, of Chandpur, Jahir Khan, 50, Abdul Karim, 60, of Comilla Sadar Dakshin upazila of the district, Mofizur Rahman, 80, of Chouddagram upazila, Abdul Karim, 65, of Chandpur, and Mofizul Islam, 65, of Burichang upazila.
Dr Sajeda Khatun, assistant director of the hospital, confirmed the news in the morning.
Total 153 people have, so far, died with the virus symptoms from April to till today, she added.
Of the deceased, 26 were found positive for the deadly virus and 127 with the symptoms.
Now, 105 patients are undergoing treatment at the Covid-19 unit.
