Two people who were working as volunteers in a red zone area of Narayanganj were detained with 30 litres of liquor on Thursday.
The detained were identified as Md Zoynal,27 and Nadim, 29.They were working as volunteers in the red zone marked Teknoyadda area under Sadar union of Rupganj upazila.
Rupganj police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mahmudul Hasan confirmed the matter on Friday.
A mobile court led by executive magistrate Farzan Akhtar detained the two voluteers at around 8pm on Thursday. The detainees were sued under the Narcotics Control Act with Rupganj police station, said OC Mahmudul Hasan.
