Coronavirus: 21 more diagnosed in Narsingdi

Among the new cases, none exhibit severe symptoms of the virus

Twenty one more people, including four women and two children, have tested positive for the new coronavirus in Narsingdi in the last 24 hours, taking the number of cases to 65 in the district.

Confirming the matter, Narsingdi Civil Surgeon Dr Ibrahim Titon said a total of 54 samples were sent to National Institute of Laboratory Medicine and Referral Centre (NILMRC) for testing. 

“Among the new cases, none exhibit severe symptoms of the virus. They have been put in home quarantine to minimize the risk of transmission,” he added. 

Meanwhile, ten more people died from coronavirus in Bangladesh in the last 24 hours, the highest death during the period, till Thursday, taking the death toll in the country to 60.

Besides, a record 341 people tested positive for coronavirus during the period, taking the number of such cases in the country to 1,572.
