A young man named Al-Amin Mia (30) was stabbed to death by his younger brother in Satirpara area of Narsingdi town on Saturday morning.
The victim's family alleged that Hasan stabbed his elder brother Al-Amin to death over a dispute. Al-Amin Mia (30) hailed from Nilaksha village in Raipura upazila. He lived with his family in Chauwala area of the town. He was an easy-bike driver by profession.
Locals said that the two brothers had a mobile phone argument on Friday night. Later, Hasan went to the Chauwala area on Saturday morning and got into an argument with his elder brother Al-Amin again. At one point in the argument, Hasan stabbed his brother and fled. Later, locals rescued Al-Amin and took him to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital, where the doctor declared him dead.
Farida Gulshanara Kabir, Resident Medical Officer of Narsingdi Sadar Hospital, said, "We found the young man dead at the hospital. Sharp weapon injuries were found on his body."
ARM Al-Mamun, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Narsingdi Model Police Station, said, "A drive is underway to arrest the accused."
