Twenty more cases of the new coronavirus (Covid-19) have been identified in the last 24 hours in Narayanganj, taking the total number of infected in the district to 164.
The latest numbers were announced on the website of Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) on Tuesday.
So far, 13 people have died in the district due to Covid-19, while many others have died in other districts being first infected here.
Although the infectious disease has spread across at least 21 other districts including Dhaka, the rate of community transmission seems to be highest in Narayanganj, say IEDCR.
