A 15-kilometre long tailback has been created on Dhaka-Tangail highway, leaving travellers in unbearable sufferings.
The tailback was created stretching from Salla in Kalihati upazila to Rasulpur in Sadar upazila of Tangail since Tuesday dawn.
Kamal Hossain, in-charge of Elenga highway police station, said huge number of potholes in 300-metre portion at Elenga and the ongoing construction work on the highway caused the vehicular movement slow and ultimately tailbacks were created.
However, the vehicular movement is returning to normal with the passage of time, he added.
