A United People’s Democratic Front (UPDF) activist has been shot dead by unidentified miscreants in Rangamati.
The incident took place at Sabekhong union of Naniarchar upazila in the district around 7:30pm on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Shubho Chakma, Naniarchar police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Kabir Hossain told Dhaka Tribune.
He said: "A police team has been dispatched to recover the body from the spot."
