A wild elephant, thought to be 24 to 25 years old, was discovered dead at a rubber garden in Kumari under Fasiakhali union of Lama upazila on Saturday.
Sadar Range Officer of the Lama Forest Department, Anwar Khan, said: “We suspect the elephant was initially critically injured and later died falling from a high hill. The actual cause of death will be ascertained by autopsy.”
