A couple allegedly left the country after taking TK1115 crore loan from Southeast Bank in Naogaon.
Sources said, the loan defaulters, Gopal Agarwal, 56, director general of Bogra JN Industries Limited and his wife Deepa Agarwal, 48, proprietor of M/S Shubho Feed Processing, reportedly took a loan of Tk841,388,000 and Tk308,014,000 respectively, amounting to Tk150 crore from the bank.
Despite the bank repeatedly attempting to contact the couple for the last six months, to reimburse the money, the couple remained unresponsive.
Later, the bank authorities filed a case against Gopal and Deepa with Naogaon Sadar police station on October 9, after knowing the couple reportedly left the country a few months back
