Update : 09 Aug 2019, 11:43 PM

Despite being public holidays on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, all of the country’s community clinics will remain open in rural areas until August 17, except on Eid day, aiming to provide healthcare facilities to holidaymakers and dengue patients.

Furthermore, city corporations and municipalities will continue cleanliness drives.

The Cabinet Division has already asked all the ministries, departments and divisions to strengthen their monitoring on anti-dengue drives and cleanliness programs, so that water cannot become stagnant in offices and other areas during the Eid holidays.

The Education Ministry has already directed the authorities of all the educational institutions to continue cleanliness programmes by keeping its offices open aiming to prevent dengue outbreak.

Meanwhile, the leave of the officials of Directorate General of Health Services and city corporations have been cancelled to address the dengue prevalence.
