Two children have been killed and one injured after being struck by lightning in Cox's Bazar.
The incident took place in Shaplapur union of Maheshkhali upazila around 5:30pm on Monday.
The deceased were identified as Osman Goni, 13, and Sadia Akhter, 12.
The injured, Saima Akhter, 10, was taken to Maheshkhali Health Complex for treatment.
Mohammad Hossain, a member of Shaplapur union parishad stated that the children were feeding cattle at Moulvikata area when a thunderbolt struck the trio, leaving two dead on spot and the other injured.
