Munshiganj unit BCL President Faisal Mridha secured bail after a case was filed against him for physical assault and robbery.
Munshiganj Senior Judicial Magistrate Shanti Chandra Debnath issued the bail order around 12 am on Sunday, so that the accused could attend his exams, said court Inspector Hedayet Ullah Khan.
On Saturday evening, plaintiff Rehana Begum filed a case against Faisal, 28, and five others with Munshiganj sadar police station.
On Saturday night, Faisal was arrested from the district town.
On June 27, Rehana accused them of barging into her house, physically assaulting her, and robbing her of her money and valuables.
Munshiganj Sadar police station OC Alamgir Hossain said the case was not politically motivated.
