Gopalganj Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University's student – who became unconscious when a wrong injection was administered in Gopalgunj General Hospital on 20 May – has not yet regained her consiousness.
Marium Sultana Munni was later admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Dhaka Medical Hospital (DMCH). However, Munni has not regained consciousness even after a month.
Munni's elder brother Hasibul Rubel said: "Munni is still unconscious. The doctor said that it will take some time for her to recover. But they could not confirm how many days would it take to recover."
Vice Chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University Dr Khondokar Nasiruddin said: "We are constantly keeping updates of Munni's situation. Her family has been compensated with Tk2 lakh for treatment and more will be allotted, if necessary."
Regarding the case filed in the incident, Gopalganj Sadar police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Manirul Islam has said: "The accused have been granted eight week's bail by the court. Hence, the two nurses accused in the case could not be arrested."
