While visiting the Bangladesh embassy at Tashkent, President Hamid paid tributes to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing a wreath on his portrait. He stayed at the embassy office for a while and had his lunch with the entourage members.

The president left Dhaka on June 13 to attend the fifth summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) at Tajik capital Dushanbe and another program in Uzbekistan.
