Founding anniversary of ESDO observed

The 29^th founding anniversary of Echo Social Development Organisation (ESDO) was observed on Monday in the district with various programmes. Awami League leader Ramesh Chandra Sen MP inaugurated the function around 3pm on the  ESDO campus. Later a discussion was held where among others Deputy Commissioner Abdul Awal, District Council  Chairman Md Sadeque Quraishee,  Sadar upazila chairman Taimur Rahman,  ESDO Executive Director Dr Muhammad Shahid Uz Zaman,  ESDO College Principal Selima Akter spoke with the institution’s Chairman Khalilur Rahman in the chair. ESDO, the non government organisation has been working for development of the poor people in the northern part of the country since 1988. The government awarded the institution in 1987 for keeping extraordinary roles in education. In 2006, it was awarded by the US based City Bank for working in micro-credit fileds.
