A young man was shot dead by miscreants in Bhujpur area of Fatikchhar upazila of Chittagong on Saturday night.
The deceased was identified as Abdur Rahim Badsha, 25, a resident of the area, reports UNB.
Datmara Union Chairman Md Jane Alam said that the deceased had a long dispute with Tapan, a supporter of United People's Democratic Front (UPDF), over establishing supremacy in the area.
“A gang of miscreants opened fire on Badsha at Baraitoli of Bhujpur, leaving him dead on spot,” he added.
Additional Police Superintendent (Hathazari circle) Abdullah Al Masum said the body was sent to a local hospital for autopsy.
Badsha was accused in a number of criminal cases, he added.
