Police have collected DNA samples from the mother of militant Musa, a New JMB leader who is suspected to have been killed in 'Operation Twilight' in Sylhet.
Kotwali police OC Sohel Ahmed said they collected the samples on Thursday afternoon at Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital.
Musa's mother was accompanied by her daughter and step son.
“She was brought here from her Rajshahi home in the morning,” the OC said. “We will send her back after questioning by Sylhet Metropolitan Police.”
It is unclear if her son was among those killed at the Shibbari militant hideout.
Sources said they suspected a senior militant leader was at the hideout during the raid but added that they were not sure if it was Musa.
