Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have arrested 24 Bangladeshis while they were returning home from India through Kushkhali border of Satkhira without passports.
BGB’s Kushkhali BOP Commander Naik Subedar Nasiruddin said acting on a tip-off, they raided Kushkhali area on Wednesday night and detained seven men, four women, and 13 children.
He said the detainees, hailing from Bandarban, had gone India a few days ago in search for jobs.
They were entering Bangladesh without valid documents, the BGB official added.
BGB personnel later handed them over to Satkhira police station.
