A man died and three others injured in the hailstorm that lashed different areas of Manikganj on saturday.
Awal Hossain, 50, a farmer of Boinna village in Ghior, was working at his crop field in the afternoon. He rushed to a nearby house to take shelter, but the house fell apart at one point.
He was crushed under a pillar, according to locals. He died on the way to hospital.
In Shibalya upazila, about 50 houses and establishments were reportedly ravaged and three people injured.
