Two persons were shot dead in Kaptai upazila in the Rangamati district in broad daylight.
Unidentified miscreants fired at Mongsi Nu Marma, 40, an activist of Parbatya Chattagram Jana Samhati Samiti (PCJSS), and his friend Md Jahid, 32, in front of the Forest Office in Karigorpara, Raikhali on Monday afternoon.
Chandaghona Police Officer-in-Charge Md Ashraf Uddin confirmed the murders, and said Mongi Nu was a member of PCJSS Santu Larma faction, but he had joined the MN Larma group before the general election in December.
