An unidentified woman, aged around 50, has been killed in an auto-rickshaw and locally-made human hauler collision in Dhunat upazila of Bogra.
The accident occurred at Chikashi intersection on Monday evening.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been ascertained as of filing the report at 10:30am Tuesday.
Quoting locals, Dhunat Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Montaj Ali said the accident occurred when a battery-run auto-rickshaw collided head-on with a human hauler—also known as Bhotbhoti—around 7pm; leaving the auto-rickshaw’s passenger dead on the spot.
Acting on information, police recovered the body. An unnatural death case was also filed, the SI said.
