Police have arrested a drug trader with 600 yaba pills at Shakhipur upazila of Tangail.
Liton Hossain, 25, was arrested in Barchaona Binna Khaira, of the upazila, on Thursday night.
Shakhipur police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ameer Hossain told the Dhaka Tribune: "Acting on a tip-off, we conducted a drive in the Barchaona Binna Khaira area on Thursday night and arrested Liton.
"At that time, he had 600 yaba pills in his possession," the OC said.
A case is being prepared under the Narcotics Control Act in connection with the arrest. The arrestee was sent to court in Tangail on Friday morning.
