Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has paid tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the occasion of the 48th Victory Day.
She placed a wreath at hisportrait in front of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum in Dhanmondi in Dhaka on Sunday morning, reports UNB.
After placing the wreath, the prime minister stood there in solemn silence for some time as a mark of profound respect to the memory of the great leader and the architect of the country's independence.
Later, Sheikh Hasina, aspresident of Bangladesh Awami League, placed another wreath at his portrait as the party chief.
