Police cordoned off two militant hideouts – a five-storey building and another seven-storey building – on Tuesday night. Law enforcement agencies raided the five-storey last night and recovered the bodies of a man and a woman along with firearms.

Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit Chief Monirul Islam told reporters on Wednesday that the people holed up in the seven-storey building had ties to those killed in Tuesday’s anti-militant operation.
