At least seven people have been injured after a pickup van hit two rickshaws in Tongi, Gazipur.
The accident happened on Thursday around 7:30am in front of the fire service office.
The injured were treated at the Tongi Shaheed Ahsanullah Master General Hospital.
Confirming the news, Tongi Fire Station In-Charge Atiqur Rahman said: “A Dhaka bound pickup van fled after hitting two battery run autorickshaws which injured seven people.
“Of them, four were in critical condition and sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.”
Tongi police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Kamal Hossain said: “After getting the news, the pickup van was seized from the Tongi Bazar area and held at Tongi police station. The identities of the injured were not confirmed.”
