Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Border Guard Police (BGP) of Myanmar have conducted a joint patrol in Naf River in Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar.
The joint patrolling took place on Wednesday morning, starting around 9:30am and ending at 11am.
Subedar MD Nazrul Islam of Teknaf BOP led the 12 member BGB team while Major Pinakka Cha U of BGP headed the 10 member BGP team during the joint drive.
BGB Teknaf-2 Commanding Officer Lt Col Ashaduzzaman Chowdhury said: “This is a part of the ongoing patrolling by the border security forces of the two countries.
Both sides exchanged greetings after successful completion of the joint drive.
So far, there have been four joint patrols conducted this year in Shahpirdip BOP, Teknaf BOP, Damadia BOP and Hila BOP of Cox’s Bazar.
