Bangladesh Army beside the flood affected people of Kulaura

Heavy rain falls have created partial flooding in Tilagaon, Sharifpur, Hazipur, and Pretimpasha unions of Kulaura upazila

Members of the Bangladesh army have started to provide necessary support to the flood affected residents of Kulaura upazila, Moulvibazar.

Heavy rainfalls have created partial flooding in Tilagaon, Sharifpur, Hazipur, and Pretimpasha unions of Kulaura upazila.

Three units of the Bangladesh army will start to aid people of four unions of the upazila on Saturday morning, after Eid salah.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Tofail Islam has confirmed the news.

A representative of the Bangladesh army had an emergency meeting with the upazila administration about the matter on Friday evening.

Moulvibazar-2 Member of Parliament (MP) Abdul Matin, Col Shahab, head of the Bangladesh army representative team, Kulaura Upazila Parishad Chairman ASM Kamrul Islam, UNO Chowdhury Md Golam Rabbi and some other top level government officials and journalists, were present in the meeting.

The UNO said: “Bangladesh army men will work in three units to facilitate the flood affected people of Kulaura. As per the decision of the emergency meeting, they will distribute relief goods, equally to all affected people.”
