Three UPDF activists have been gunned down by yet unidentified assailants in Rangamati’s Baghaichhari.
The victims of the Monday morning shooting are – Sanjit Chakma, 30, Atal Chakma, 30, and Smriti Chakma, 35.
The motive is unclear.
UPDF Chief Organizer Michael Chakma has blamed UPDF (democratic) and JSS (reformist) for the killing.
Both parties have rejected the allegation.
Michael said their activists were shot dead around 7am at a house in Sajek Union’s Korollachhari area.
Baghaichhari police station’s Officer-in-Charge Md Jahangir Alam said another person was injured in the shooting incident.
