Four slit-throat bodies have been recovered from a paddy field at Dubil area under Shibganj upazila of Bogura district.
Of the deceased, two were identified as Shabrul Islam Shabu, 33, a beetle-leaf vendor, and Zakaria Islam, 32, a painter.
Shibganj police station Officer-in-Charge Sayeed Mahmud Khan confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune Monday morning.
He said: “The bodies were recovered around 2pm. The hands and legs of the bodies were tied up with rope.”
Bogura Superintendent of Police Ali Ashraf Bhuiyan said: “They might have been murdered and later their bodies were dumped here.”
He said they were investigating the matter.
