California based not-for-profit organization Sonar Bangla Foundation- Bangladesh has opened a 14-bed kidney dialysis centre at Jamalpur’s Amlapara on Friday.
State Minister for Textiles and Jute Mirza Azam inaugurated the centre at 11am. A discussion program was held in this regard at the district’s Shilpakala Academy.
People can get services at relatively low cost from this centre under the supervision of Jamalpur Samity Dhaka. Imdad-Sitara Khan Foundation has financed the centre.
Leaders of Jamalpur Samity Dhaka have assured that poor patients will get financial support from the centre.
Jamalpur District Commissioner Ahmed Kabir, Civil Surgeon Dr Goutom Roy, district’s Superintendent of Police Delowar Hossain, Sonar Bangla Foundation- Bangladesh Director Aminur Rahman, among others, were present at the inauguration and discussion program.
Sonar Bangla Foundation is a US-based organization of non-resident Bangladeshis.
