4 killed in Magura road accident

The deceased were identified as Khadiza Begum, 40, wife of Nur Mohammad of Rajbari, Chhutu Bibi, 70, wife of Shukur Ali, Karam Ali, 52, and Marzina, 52. Magura sadar police station Sub-Inspector Zahidur Rahman told the Dhaka Tribune that the accident took place when a truck rammed a Benapole-bound microbus on Magura-Jessore road in the morning. At the time, the microbus skidded off the road and hit a roadside tree as the driver lost control over the steering, leaving two dead on the spot and eight others injured. The injured people were admitted to Faridpur Medical College and Hospital where two of them succumbed to their injuries in the afternoon. The truck driver managed to flee the scene with truck soon after the incident, the police official added. The microbus boarders, hailed from Chenapota village of Daulatdia of Rajbari, were heading to Ajmer Sharif of India.
